A great way to start the new year is to return to the roots and trends of the past.
The past is filled with elegance and character, and timeless charm. The past in which tradesman took pride in their craft and beauty was created by skilled human hands.
We see this beauty in the classical tiling of the past, from New York subway tiles to the floors of European castles crafted in mosaic tiles. All of this and so much more was the inspiration for this small Ottawa bathroom, yes we could have done another clean and modern bathroom renovation with large-scale tiles and perfectly even grout lines, but it almost feels mechanical and sometimes it’s just good to recreate one of the timeless styles in bathroom renovations with hexagon mosaic floor tiles and subway wall tiles, small wooden vanity and light fixtures that gives a vibe of nostalgia. This is our bathroom, and though we are going to build and renovate many more clean and modern bathrooms, we love projects where the pursuit of timeless beauty supersedes norms and standards of the day.
As we said before, our thanks go to the skilled trades for their craft, namely:
Art, Darryl, and Danny with Summir Drains and Plumbing for their dedication, attention to detail, and professionalism in completing the plumbing of this bathroom. https://summitdrain.ca
Anatoliy with Skull Electric for his help and support in doing all of this project’s electrical work.
Arpit, Andrew, and Naluka from Euro Tile and Stone for their help and support with tiles and all of the tile-related products. https://eurotilestone.com
Alex with iBathrooms for his hard work, skills, and attention to detail in completing this beautiful bathroom.
