This was an older basement bathroom and an old tub that was not very much in use.
As it is common these days, many people convert their bathtubs into easy-access and low-maintenance walk-in showers. This was the case too.
Our customer wanted an easy-to-use, and an easy to maintain bathroom that would not only improve the looks of their home and also increase the home value.
The alcove bathtub was converted into a walk-in shower with a low threshold acrylic base and glossy tile on the walls for low maintenance.
The floor tile was from the same tile family but non-slip. It looks almost identical to the wall tiles.
For the vanity, we have opted to install custom Ikea lower cabinets as a modular vanity, and a custom laminate counter with a white pedestal sink.
